بخشی از متن:In this paper, I show how a particular understanding of agency, focussed on psychological and physiological
mechanisms, has the potential to provide an alternative appreciation of globalization, particularly the sources
of its discontent. The argument draws on recent findings in political psychology, specifically research that
explores the antecedents of ideology and the attitudinal pathways that form left and right sympathies. I show
how the particular traits and mechanisms that correlate with ideological outcomes, for example negativity
biases, also shed light on the globalization process, allowing for an improved appreciation of the variety of
ways subjects experience accelerated levels of interconnectedness. The assumption that discontent is necessarily
a by‐product of the social inequities associated with the process is challenged, and the existence of a sceptical
disposition, at least amongst some, posited. Given the basis of this scepticism, I point out that the validity
of judging globalization is as a result, also rendered more complex; precisely because the ‘legitimacy’ of one’s
stance becomes, according to this conceptualisation, a dependent variable, determined –in part‐ by immutable
characteristics. Almost inadvertently, I suggest, the antecedent literature identifies a major barrier to greater
global interconnectedness. This draws attention to a final substantive insight derived from the antecedent literature,
that in light of the new political geography, ‘ineffectiveness’ is the norm: meaning the ‘the ensemble of
needs, traits, and motives’ that underlie political stances, no longer ‘fit’ with the existing discursive (ideological)
structures. This I suggest, represents a fundamental source of discontent, because the existing ideologies of
left and right, in ignoring the importance of human nature, neglect the significance of ‘fit’ as they try to make
sense of globalization

cooperation framework often lacks comprehensive economic analysis and estimation of probabilistic impacts of
any country’s socio-economic and environmental activities on the people and ecosystems of other countries. This
study attempts to develop an index on a country-pair basis that elucidates six channels of bilateral cooperation
and respective strengths of those: trade, technological advancement, labors’ productivity, regional interconnectedness,
human development, and emission management. Criteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation
(CRITIC) objective weighting method is applied for multi-criteria decision-making. Empirical analysis
encompasses all South Asian countries. Results show that India remains the country with the highest impact on
the other countries in this South Asian region followed by Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Bhutan, Afghanistan and
the Maldives have the highest probability of attaining the gain from other South Asian countries. The study also
analyzes countries’ component-wise strengths of bilateral impacts

been approved for therapeutic use. Various inhibitors have been developed with different binding modes, but
none has been approved for use due to the non-specificity of these inhibitors. A novel type of inhibitor developed
by Walter et al., and termed Type 1½, showed promising results in vitro with high selectivity for p38αMAPK, improved
target retention time (TRT) and high potency. Type 1½ inhibitors combine features of both Type I inhibitors
and Type II inhibitors. In this study, we provide insight into these novel inhibitors using QSAR, Molecular
docking, and Quantum mechanics. Finally, in a bid to optimize, we generated 523 new sets of lead compounds
using Bioisostere replacement methods and predicted the biological activities using the well-validated QSAR
model. The results showed that the nhal descriptor (Count of halogen atoms) was the most important contributor
to the QSAR model and the newly designed leads showed improved binding free energy than the original inhibitors
with predicted pIC50 up to 3.2

بخشی از متن:The lignin to liquid (LtL) solvolysis is a type of hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) that utilizes formic acid to facilitate
the desired hydrodeoxygenation process to depolymerize lignin. Formic acid has been chosen due to its hydrogen
donor ability, and it has proven to be amore efficient hydrogen donor than hydrogen gas and isopropanol.
Based on previous experiments where the amount of carbon in the solid phase and organic phase together
exceeded 100% relative to carbon in the lignin starting material, we set up experiments with 13C-labeled formic
acid in order to investigate where the carbon form formic acid is incorporated. All the experiments were performed
in duplicates, one with 13C-labeled formic acid and one with standard formic acid. The bio-oils from
the experiments were analyzed by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and the spectra were compared. The
13C NMR spectra showed significant differences between oils made with standard formic acid and oils made
with 13C-labeled formic acid, located in the section between δ 170 ppm and δ 180 ppm in the NMR spectra.
The signal in this range arise fromcarbonyl bonds and shows that the carbon fromformic acid ends up in the carbonyl
structures of the bio-oil in compounds such as aromatic acids. This paper has also shown that theamount of
formic acid plays a minor role in product composition compared to reaction temperature, which influences the
product composition on a functional group level.

was achieved for relative short time (10–30 min), neutral pH of 7.0–7.5 and minimized current density. By optimization
of the applied electrochemical parameters the elimination of carcinogenic colloidal chromium and organic
mixture was modeled in a reproducible manner, and the reached purification levels of the effluents were
acceptable for their reuse in the household. The practical usage of reported electrocoagulation design was successfully
demonstrated as an effective alternative of the current conventional method for treatment of the tanning,
domestic and artisanal industrial wastewater in Fez city, Morocco.

rate on pollution, and to determine whether the relationship between them is linear. Standard Econometric
techniques, Dynamic OLS, and Markov Regime‐Switching method were applied to analyze annual data of
the United States of America. We contribute to the literature by being the first, to the best of our knowledge,
to undertake such a study. The results seem to suggest that firstly, Lending rate Granger causes pollution, and
secondly, the impact of Lending rate on pollution depends on prevailing economic and socio‐political conditions.
Policymakers can rely on the lending interest rate, together with prevailing economic and sociopolitical
conditions, for purposes of initiating actions that will help reduce pollution

uses in foods and as a medicine. The leaves are rich in phenolics, and gallic acid and hesperetin are
the major phenolic compounds. Microwave‐assisted extraction (MAE) is known as an effective extraction technique
for phenolics from plant materials. This study aimed to investigate the individual and interaction effects
of microwave on the isolation of gallic acid and hesperetin from lemon myrtle leaf and quantify the part in total
phenolic compound. This study also optimized the MAE conditions. Extraction solvent was acetone (50%) in
water and extraction time, microwave power and sample to solvent ratio were tested for their optimal conditions.
The results showed that extraction time and microwave power had a positive significant effect on gallic
acid, but not on hesperetin; whereas, the sample to solvent ratio had a negative significant impact on both gallic
acid and hesperetin. The optimal MAE conditions were 6 min, 630 W, and 2 g/100 mL. Under these conditions,
43.32 mg gallic acid and 21.51 mg hesperetin could be obtained from a gram of dry sample. These
account for approximately 42% and 21% of extracted total phenolic and flavonoid content, respectively.
The optimized MAE conditions are recommended for recovery of gallic acid and hesperetin from lemon myrtle
leaves for further applications

renewable resources.With the aid of poly-condensation process, the cardanol thermoset biopolymer resin from
cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) was synthesized. The abundantly available, bagasse fiber (20 mm of length) and
coconut shell particle (50 μm) were applied as reinforcement material to produce a new ecological hybrid
biocomposite. The prepared fiber and particles are treated chemically. Hybrid composites of Cardanol
(C) reinforced with bagasse fiber (BF), Coconut shell powder (CP) and Bagasse fiber/Coconut shell powder
(BC) were manufactured using a compressionmoulding process. This four different kinds of composites, though
the sequences are done to have C, C/BF, C/CP, and C/BC. The mechanical properties of the prepared biocomposites
were evaluated through tensile, flexural and impact test. These evaluation predicts that C/BF possess comparatively
more strength with other hybrid composites. The presence of fiber and particle are attributed in all the
biocomposites using FT-IR spectroscopy analysis. Similarly during thermal analysis, C/BF corroboratewith higher
thermal stability than other biocomposites by thermal gravimetric analysis

COVID-19 on the Gross Domestics Product (GDP) per capita per COVID-19 cases (RGDPC), a proxy for the
economic wellbeing of a nation.
Methods: Nine models divided into three groups (Gaussian polynomial, other non-linear, and Gamma generalized
polynomial models) were fitted for RGDPC data on CMP, collected from 1st June to 31st December 2020.
Results: The result showed that the gamma cubic model was selected as the best model out of the 9 competing
models to predict the economic wellbeing of Nigeria. Predictions were made for the whole day in the year 2021.
Conclusion: It is therefore concluded that there is a non-linear relationship between COVID-19 mortality and the
economic wellbeing of Nigerians. Thus, COVID-19 mortality has an adverse effect on the wellbeing of Nigerians.
The economic wellbeing of Nigerians can be improved if COVID-19 mortality is stopped.

and interferon-β1a appeared to have little or no effect on hospitalized COVID-19 patients. This has again led to
search for alternate re-purposed drugs and/or effective “add-on” nutritional supplementation, which can complement
or enhance the therapeutic effect of re-purposed drug. Focus has been shifted to therapeutic targets of
severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which includes specific enzymes and regulators of
lipid metabolism. Very recently, fenofibrate (cholesterol-lowering drug), suppressed the SARS-CoV-2 replication
and pathogenesis by affecting the pathways of lipid metabolism in lung cells of COVID-19 patients. A preclinical
study has shown synergistic effect of quercetin (a flavonoid) and fenofibrate in reducing the cholesterol content,
which might be useful in COVID-19 treatment. Based on the scientific literature, use of quercetin and fenofibrate
in COVID-19 seems meaningful in pharmaceutical and biomedical research, and warrants basic, experimental
and clinical studies. In this article, we have summarized the contemporary findings about drug fenofibrate and its
effect on membrane synthesis of COVID-19 virus along with emphasizing on possible synergistic effects of
quercetin with fenofibrate

(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sufonic acid) (ABTS+) and N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride
(DMPD+) radical assay. The results revealed that compounds 31 (IC50: 35 μg/mL) and 32 (IC50: 40 μg/mL)
showed excellent antioxidant activity and their IC50 is lower than the IC50 of standards such as butylated hydroxyl
anisole, ascorbic acid and gallic acid in all the three performed assays. In anti-inflammatory activity, compounds
7–26 (IC50: 10-35 μg/mL) showed extraordinary activity compared to standards indomethacin (IC50: 40 μg/mL)

potential contamination of the waste disposed by individuals diagnosed with the virus. The proliferation of
contaminated waste is expected to increase as cases increase. The pandemic has caused a surge in waste material
stemming from the widespread use of disposable personal protective equipment at the household level. In
the developing countries where waste management measures are relatively inadequate, the vulnerability of
COVID‐19 contraction from contaminated waste is high. This study intended to unravel the susceptibility of
communities in the developing countries of Guyana and Nigeria to the potential spread of the virus through
waste. The study explored the possibility of cross‐contamination between residents and landfill scavengers,
the community perception on the effectiveness of their solid waste practices, the notable changes in waste collection
and waste disposal patterns, and also, the potential knowledge / policy gaps that exist. An online survey
was administered within all the districts of the two countries and the qualitative assessment was conducted
demonstrating the proportional trends in the responses of the participants. Findings showed that the communities
were relatively perceptive about the issue of waste disposal and the potential contamination of COVID‐
19. The communities readily recognized the inefficiencies of the waste management systems and the need for
policy intervention. Tackling the issue of COVID‐19 and waste management in the developing countries of
Guyana and Nigeria requires policies that are holistic and participatory involving stakeholder at all levels

(DMF) and sodium hydride (NaH). The synthesized analogues were characterized by using FTIR, 1H, 13C NMR
spectroscopy, EIMS and HREIMS spectrometry. All the synthesized compounds, 9a-j and 10a-j, were evaluated
for their inhibitory potential against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinestrase (BChE), where these
compounds showed moderate to good activities against the tested enzymes. Compounds 9j and 10f displayed
potent inhibitory potential (IC50 5.41 ± 0.24 & 13.57 ± 0.31 μM, respectively) against AChE while compound
9j exhibited potent inhibitory activity (IC50 7.52 ± 0.18 μM) against BChE. Other compounds showed good to
moderate inhibitory activities against the said enzymes in the range of IC50 14.29–43.94 μM for AChE and IC50
21.59–41.54 μMfor BChE. To rationalize the binding site interactions, docking studieswere carried out. All docked
compounds were found to bind in the active site with similar binding orientation and favorable binding interactions
with the surrounding amino acids

clarify the tautomerization phenomenon of these dyes. Predominantly, these dyes exist in Z‐hydrazone form
reinforced through intramolecular hydrogen bonding in deuterated chloroform. Substituents (R) in carbon7
(CR7) are the key player of the changes in 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts, also in the absorption and emission
wavelengths of benzothiazole azo dyes. Also, the relative photoluminescence quantum yields (PL QY) of these
dyes (1–6) were estimated and related to the nature of substituents. Finally, PM6 semiempirical calculations
were employed to confirm the preferred geometric structure and experimental NMR, absorption, and emission

economic, environmental, and sustainable characteristics. In this work, we proposed that the Sapindus
Mukorossi Peel (SMP) was used as a precursor to prepare a Sapindus Mukorossi Peel‐based activated carbon
material (SMPC) through carbonization and KOH activation. The morphology and structure of SMPC were
characterized by various test methods. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge–discharge (GCD) and
electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to characterize its electrochemical performance.
The results show that SMPC has suitable pore size distribution, a large number of heteroatom functional groups
and excellent electrical conductivity. In addition, the amount of activator also has an important influence on
the performance of SMPC. When the mass ratio of carbon material to KOH is 1:3, the prepared sample
SMPC‐3 has the largest specific surface area (SSA) was 1254.5 m2/g. Moreover, SMPC‐3 also has excellent electrochemical
properties, high specific capacitance (at 1 A/g, the specific capacitance can reach 314.5F/g), good
cycle stability (at 5 A/g, cyclic charge and discharge 5000 times, the specific capacitance is only lost by 4.2%.),
superior rate performance (when the current density is increased from 0.5 A/g to 10 A/g, the specific capacitance
retention rate is 80.4%). Assembling SMPC‐3 // SMPC‐3 into a symmetrical SC shows higher energy
density (at 0.1 A/g, the energy density is 6.68 Wh/Kg) and power density (at 5 A/g, the power density is
3250 W/Kg

used. Examined were 905 participants: 20–26 years old (n = 315), 27–40 years old (n = 317), and 60–88 years old
(n = 273). The results demonstrated that acceptance of the contemporary world was higher in the emerging and
young adult groups than in the late adults, while the opposite was the case for critical and fearful attitudes. This
was evident for older people with below average material resources. The research showed that in order to be less
negative about the globalised world, it is useful to stabilise material conditions of people, especially the older ones.

The specific knowledge about COVID‐19 also affects education, which is a source of human capital formation.
The data obtained from an online survey, covered from June 2020 to October 2020. The methods used are
descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. As the results generated, we confirmed that
peoples’ perception about COVID‐19 pandemic increases with mandatory testing in schools. In addition, the
results also revealed that the work from the home measure is an insignificant negative impact on perception.
10% increases in work from the home measure, decreases people’s perception by 0.0305%. The results also
confirmed that the reopening of schools had significant negative impact on mandatory testing in schools.10%
increases in the reopening of school, decrease the mandatory testing in schools by 0.071%. In this regard, the
main aim of this research is to understand the role of the COVID‐19 pandemic on education, staff development,
and training in Africa

(Sn‐Ag‐Cu, Sn‐Ag‐Zn, Sn‐Cu‐Zn) were predicted using molecular interaction volume model (MIVM), modified
MIVM (M‐MIVM), Wilson equation, and nonrandom two‐liquid model. The prediction deviations of the MMIVM
were the smallest among the four thermodynamic models, indicating that the M‐MIVM is reliable for
predicting the activity of these multicomponent lead‐free solders. On this premise, the activities of all components
in ternary Sn‐Ag‐Cu solders at 1300 K were predicted using the M‐MIVM. We found that the activities of
Sn, Ag and Cu exhibit negative deviations from Raoult’s law and that these deviations eventually transform into
positive deviations. The activities of all components in quaternary Sn‐Ag‐Cu‐Zn solders at 1000 K were also
predicted using the M‐MIVM when Zn contents were 0.1 and 0.2. This study provides a complete
thermodynamic description of Sn‐Ag‐Cu ternary and Sn‐Ag‐Cu‐Zn quaternary alloys

cooperation, we argue that the key reasons for the EU to step up its digital development efforts in the Indo-Pacific
region are the societal impact of disruptive technologies; the power shift towards the Indo-Pacific; the expanding
clout of the Chinese Digital Silk Road; and the implications of the US-China tech conflict. The EU’s 2030 Digital
Compass provides an ideal framework to envision the digital development cooperation initiatives of European
and Asian players. The EU can benefit from cooperation and coordination with like-minded partners in the Indo-
Pacific.

The outbreak of COVID-19 subjected prophets and the prophetic ministry to ridicule and taunts by both
disenchanted Christians and non-believers alike. This study examines responses to these challenges posed by
COVID-19 to prophets and the prophetic movement in Africa. The study shows that Charismatic Christianity on
the continent may serve as useful resource for public education amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, but also, a
source of public health misinformation and thus, create doubts, uncertainties and fear. The paper argues that, the
Covid-19 pandemic has both prospects and challenges for prophecies, as well as greater implications for Charismatic
Christianity in Africa.

The reactivity of metallic palladium in a K2CO3‐K2O‐B2O3 melt is investigated as a function of heating temperature
and time. The aqueous solubility of heat‐treated palladium is enhanced by controlling the heating conditions
leading to an optimum palladium extraction of 53% from the heat‐treated product. The alumina
crucible used as a reactor partially dissolves during the heating of metallic Pd, which requires the analysis
of palladium solubilization to be discussed in terms of K2CO3‐K2O‐B2O3‐Al2O3 system. Oxidized palladium
combines with boron and aluminum oxyanions as ligands in the molten medium to form water‐soluble palladium
compounds. Information regarding water‐soluble palladium compounds was obtained by analyzing the
precipitate collected from the palladium‐containing solution produced by water‐leaching of the heat‐treated
product. The precipitate contained Pd (0.19 wt%), Al (0.74 wt%), B (2.6 wt%), and K (45 wt%). Raman spectroscopy

Rwanda in particular for the period between 1980 and 2014. It explores whether the growth impact of remittances is
conditional on the institutional and development factors in SSA countries. The analytical framework of this study is
embedded in the debate between two dominant theoretical approaches about the growth effect of remittances; the national
accounts and endogenous growth models. As baseline analysis, the paper employs a cross-sectional analysis of
45 SSA countries, follo\wed by a more in-depth analysis of Rwanda as a case study. The findings reveal that the two
theories are complementary but not mutually exclusive in explaining the growth effect of remittances. The crosssectional
analysis of SSA countries shows no statistically significant impact of remittances on economic growth in
the region. But the remittance-growth impact is positively and statistically significantly conditioned by the country's
level of development, financial development, and education, while the quality of institutional variables adversely
affects the remittance-growth impact in the region. In contrast, the same findings reveal a positive and significant
growth impact of remittances in Rwanda. The results of the country-level analysis reveal plausible evidence of longrun
causality, running from remittances to GDP per capita in Rwanda, but not vice versa. The results demonstrate
that the conditional marginal effect of remittances on GDP per capita in Rwanda increases with more remittance
inflows to the country. These findings suggest that both the overall institutional environment and that of the financial
sector specifically are imperative for enhancing the growth and development impact of remittances in the SSA
countries and Rwanda in particular

Methylene Blue (MB) and Reactive Red l41 (RR-141) from wastewater was investigated. Chitosan powder was
prepared from shrimp shells, then, chitosan nanowires were synthesized with the ionic gelation method, using
sodium tripolyphosphate as a crosslinking agent under mild conditions. The appearance of functional groups
of pure chitosan nanowires, together with 81% degree of acetylation and 110.2 m2 g−1, were achieved. TEM
image revealed the incorporation of dyewithin the chitosan structures. The adsorption capacitywas affected significantly
by the amount of chitosan present, contact time, pH and dye concentration. The highest removal rates
ofMB and RR-141were 91.5% and 82.74% respectively, within 60 minwith dye solution of 75 mg L−1 at pH 4 and
10 g chitosan, and the uptake capacity remained around 82.3–91.5% for 3 regeneration cycles. The adsorption isothermcorrelatedwellwith
Langmuir and the Freundlich isotherms. Therefore, eco-friendly bio-chitosan could be
applied successfully for dye contaminated wastewater remediation. Rather than a lab scale, further commercial
process should be applied for higher effective performances.

in the present study to bring about the retention of azoic dyes from its aqueous solutions by way of polymer enhanced
ultrafiltration (PEUF). The effects of process parameters, namely, operating time, CHI and sodiumchloride
concentrations, transmembrane pressure, and pH of solution on the retention rate and permeate fluxwere examined.
CHI enhanced ultrafiltration achieved in the presence of CHI shows an increasing in the retention rate up to
86% for methyl orange (MO) and 89% for Direct Blue 71 (DB71). The retention rate of the studied azoic dyes decreaseswith
sodiumchloride concentration increasing. High retention percentage was also obtained at pH range
from 2 to 6. In addition, the permeate flux decreases when both, feed chitosan concentration and pH of solution
increase.
